The University of Silesia in Katowice was ranked 6th among all 237 Polish universities and research institutions included in the AD Scientific Index \u2013 World Institutional Subject Rankings 2024 ranking. Our University also took 1st place among universities from the Silesian Voivodeship.<\/p>\n

We also recorded significant successes in subject rankings: we took 1st place in \u2018Arts, Design and Architecture\u2019, 4th place in \u2018Natural Sciences\u2019, 8th place in \u2018Law\u2019, 10th position in \u2018Education\u2019, 10th position in \u2018Engineering and Technology\u2019, and 12th position in \u2018History, Philosophy and Theology\u2019 in relation to other universities and institutions in the country.<\/p>\n

Our individual researchers have also achieved significant success \u2013 among the best 500 Polish researchers there are as many as 13 of our employees (of which the top three are among the top hundred of the best in Poland):<\/p>\n

    Also noteworthy is the very high 2nd position of Robert Krzysztofik, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof. from the Institute of Social and Economic Geography and Spatial Management in the Top100 ranking of Polish researchers in the field of \u2018Arts, Design and Architecture\u2019.<\/p>\n

    The rankings presented by AD Scientific Index are based on analyses of research work based on H-Index, i10 and the number of citations covering the last six years.<\/p>\n
