We’ve completed our first round of research and measurements of water bodies and their surroundings, combined with workshops as part of the \u2018Responsible Water Recreation (REC)\u2019 project conducted using the citizen science method.\u00a0 We’re not stopping and invite you to join us for another day of scientific and recreational activities!<\/strong><\/p>\n The event will take place on Friday, August 9th, at Morawa Beach in Katowice-Szopienice on Sosnowiecka Street (exact location<\/a>). Once again, we will be conducting water quality and air quality tests, as well as soil assessments (including beach sand) using specialised equipment.\u00a0 Meanwhile, the youngest participants (but not only them!) will be creating collages using natural minerals and sifting beach sand in search of golden-colored mineral particles.\u00a0<\/p>\n The event schedule:<\/p>\n Share your opinion!<\/strong><\/p>\n As with the first round of research, measurements, and workshops, surveys will be conducted throughout the event to assess the quality and availability of tourist services at Morawa Beach. The information gathered, including beach quality and access to other infrastructure, will provide feedback on how well the beach is prepared for the summer season. The organisers are also interested in gathering information on how often unsupervised swimming areas in the Silesian Voivodeship are visited.<\/p>\n Participants in the survey are assured full anonymity and confidentiality. The collected data will be used exclusively for research purposes. Completing the survey will take about two minutes.
