Be sure to make it to the enchanting Night of the City of Science, an opportunity to sum up the European City of Science Katowice 2024! The special event of the 8th Silesian Science Festival Katowice will feature a superb concert of film music performed by the orchestra.<\/strong><\/p>\n You will be taken on a journey through the most famous themes of film music, discover many fun facts about them, and have an opportunity to play together with 40 musicians of the Stok\u0142osa Collective Orchestra. You will visit the prehistoric world of Jurassic Park<\/em> and see the duels between the Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em>. It will be time to complete Mission Impossible<\/em> with James Bond, look into the Eye of the Tiger<\/em> and roar like The Lion King <\/em>while crossing the jungle with Indiana Jones<\/em>. An entire musical rollercoaster with unforgettable emotions!<\/p>\n The concert will consist of original arrangements of the greatest film themes by Jan Stok\u0142osa, both Polish and international. Most of them played as medleys, composed from parts of existing pieces played one after another. During the concert, Jan Stok\u0142osa will also present some trivia about certain pieces and fun facts related to film music. The conductor will do his best to get you all involved in the show and break the barrier between the stage and the audience!<\/p>\n The event will also present the declaration of the City of Science and sum up the activities of the year-round celebrations of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.<\/p>\n The concert will take place on Saturday, 7 December, at 7 p.m. at the Main Stage, International Congress Centre.\u00a0<\/p>\n The event is free of charge and requires prior registration.
