Dear All,<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas Holidays and the New Year, on behalf of myself and all the Rectors, I wish you the very best, lots of joy and inner peace.<\/p>\n I realise that these wishes are a breakneck wish in view of the anxieties that beset us \u2013 both personal and those coming from near and far away. However, since this Christmas is all about birth and children are at the forefront of our celebrations, it is there that I look for sources of at least temporary joy and peace.<\/p>\n Science and education are always forward-looking, and their aim is to understand and improve. Caring about what kind of world we leave for the younger and upcoming generations seems to me to be the perfect gift for them.
