From 26 to 28 February 2025, Robert Pytka, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof. (project manager), Krzysztof Bierwiaczonek, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof., Ma\u0142gorzata Suchacka, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof. and Zuzanna Neuve-\u00c9glise, PhD from the Institute of Sociology of the University of Silesia took part in the 4th International Meeting of the\u00a0<\/strong>MECOG-CE<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Project in Berlin.<\/strong><\/p>\n The meeting was the next stage of the implementation of the European project MECOG-CE Interreg Central Europe with the participation of researchers from the University of Silesia, focused on developing five innovative solutions in the metropolitan areas of Brno, Berlin-Brandenburg, Warsaw, Turin, Ostrava and Stuttgart. The basis for establishing these solutions was work in study clusters, which resulted in the success of five pilot activities.<\/p>\n The three-day event was filled with meetings and discussions on implemented and planned activities, as well as on the first version of the jointly developed Strategy for Strengthening Metropolitan Cooperation and Co-Governance in Central Europe. The strategy is intended to strengthen the level of metropolitan governance at European level, as well as to implement specific actions in the project\u2019s partner metropolitan areas that will inspire other regions. \u00a0<\/p>\n The project is now entering another intensive period of work and inspiring design-related activities.
