The Polish Academic Championship in Judo took place from 14 to 16 March at Bialystok University of Technology\u2019s sports hall. USil athletes have gone far in the competition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The University of Silesia was represented by Oliwia Ko\u017cuch, Martyna Ga\u0142ek, Patryk Zawadzki and Sebastian Kostrubiec.<\/p>\n

On the first day of competition, after intense bouts in the -60kg men\u2019s category, Patryk Zawadzki clinched the silver medal. After three fights, Sebastian Kostrubiec made it to the 9th place in the -66kg men\u2019s category.<\/p>\n

On the second day, the female athletes showed strong performances, securing bronze medals in their weight classes: Oliwia Ko\u017cuch in women\u2019s -48 kg, and Martyna Ga\u0142ek in women\u2019s -52kg categories.<\/p>\n

Thanks to their athletes\u2019 exceptional efforts, the University of Silesia was ranked 9th in the overall standing and 3rd among all universities.<\/p>\n
