Our University achieved its greatest success in the field of Law (industry), ranking among the 400 best universities in the world in this category and taking second place in Poland. Arts and Humanities, Psychology and Education studies placed among the top 800 among several thousand universities included in the ranking.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Particularly noteworthy is the annually increasing overall score of the University of Silesia, especially in the \u201cinternational outlook\u201d category. The University of Silesia was included in all nine categories for which it applied.<\/p>\n<p>In selected detailed indicators, the University of Silesia placed high across the entire ranking and nationally, including in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Law (industry): 2nd place in Poland (301-400 range globally)<\/li>\n<li>Engineering (teaching): 4th place in Poland<\/li>\n<li>Engineering (international outlook): 4th place in Poland<\/li>\n<li>Physical Sciences (teaching): 4th place in Poland.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We achieved first place in the region in the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Law (301-400 range)<\/li>\n<li>Arts and\u00a0Humanities (601-800 range)<\/li>\n<li>Education \u00a0Studies (601-800 range)<\/li>\n<li>Psychology (601+ range)<\/li>\n<li>Life Sciences (801-1000 range)<\/li>\n<li>Social Sciences (1001+ range).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThese results are not only a source of pride for us, but above all, an important message to students, scientists, and partners that the University of Silesia is consistently strengthening and developing its position in the region, the country, and the world. Our goal is the sustainable development of all disciplines and fields of study. The exact and natural sciences require modern infrastructure that will allow them to compete with the best research centres. The emerging Silesian Interdisciplinary Centre for Chemistry and the developing Centre for Biotechnology and Biodiversity address this need,\u201d said Prof. Ryszard Kozio\u0142ek, Rector of the University of Silesia.<\/p>\n<p>THE WUR by Subject ranking is the largest and most diverse compilation of higher education institutions.
