{"id":249780,"date":"2026-06-03T15:02:52","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T13:02:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/?p=249780"},"modified":"2026-06-03T15:53:30","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T13:53:30","slug":"data-steward-school-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/en\/data-steward-school-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Data Steward School 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;]\r\n                <div class=\"text-modules\">\r\n                    <div class=\"container\">\r\n                        \r\n                        <div class=\"text-modules__content\"><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"30\" data-end=\"196\">We are back with a new edition of\u00a0Data Steward School 2026, organised by the\u00a0European Open Science School (EOSS)\u00a0at the\u00a0University of Silesia in Katowice!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"198\" data-end=\"440\">Data Steward School\u00a0is an intensive upskilling and competence &#8211; development programme in the fields of\u00a0Research Data Management (RDM),\u00a0Open Science, the\u00a0European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), and the responsible use of\u00a0data and AI in research.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"442\" data-end=\"737\">This year\u2019s edition will have a distinctly international dimension. Katowice will bring together participants and more than 15 experts from Poland and abroad, representing universities, research organisations, European infrastructures, and communities supporting the advancement of Open Science.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"739\" data-end=\"778\">DSS 2026 consists of three modules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"959\"><strong data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"822\">Module I \u2013 Intensive on-site course<br \/>\n<\/strong>6\u201310 July 2026<br \/>\nOn-site, Katowice<br \/>\n54 hours of workshops, lectures, and hands-on practical work with experts.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"959\"><strong data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"994\">Module II \u2013 Specialisation<br \/>\n<\/strong>October 2026<br \/>\nOnline<strong data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1032\"><br \/>\n<\/strong>20 hours within one of 6 specialisation tracks, delivered by international experts team.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"959\"><strong data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1158\">Module III \u2013 Mentoring<br \/>\n<\/strong>October\u2013December 2026<br \/>\nOnline \/ on-site \/ hybrid<strong data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1224\"><br \/>\n<\/strong>Individual one-to-one work with selected mentors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1498\">DSS is a space for researchers, data stewards, librarians, research managers, IT specialists, and university administrative staff\u00a0who wish to develop the competencies needed for data-intensive and AI-driven, responsible research.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1500\" data-end=\"1758\">Participants will receive a\u00a0certificate, a\u00a0micro-credential, and\u00a05 ECTS credits.
