On 25 September 2026, Enass Alshahwan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, visited the University of Silesia. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Ryszard Kozio\u0142ek, Rector of the University of Silesia, was also attended by Katarzyna Trynda, PhD, Assoc. Prof., Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education and Monika Rosa, Member of the Polish Sejm, as well as Emilia Rekosz-Cebula, Head of the International Cooperation Development Department at the University of Silesia. Following a presentation of key information about the university, the participants discussed potential opportunities for cooperation between the University of Silesia in Katowice and universities in Saudi Arabia, as well as existing relations between Poland and Saudi Arabia. The meeting concluded with both sides expressing their willingness to maintain contact and deepen cooperation.<\/p>\n

Since 2025, the University of Silesia has been home to Gulf House. Policy, Analytics and Cooperation Centre \u2013 a unit whose aim is to provide information, conduct analysis and seek opportunities for cooperation between Poland and the Arab Gulf states in the fields of investment, technology, science and energy: Gulf House | University of Silesia in Katowice.<\/a><\/p>\n
