Idea<\/h4>\n

\u2018ICSD \u2013 think tank for the development of key competencies of the Polish academic staff\u2019 is one of the research and implementation initiatives of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Staff Development.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the project is to create the concept for the development of key competencies for research staff and administrative support staff of the science and higher education sector in Poland, which may contribute to strengthening the position of Polish universities on the international arena.<\/p>\n

On the one hand, the development of research excellence should be supported with good practices in managing the science and higher education sector and its employees. On the other hand, the development of new solutions in this respect must be based on understanding the needs of research staff and professional administrative service.<\/p>\n

These two assumptions became the basis for tools designed within the project, which will be connected e.g. with monitoring the development of research staff and administrative support staff, taking into account the improvement of recruitment process, evaluation design, motivation issues and study of training needs.<\/p>\n

The operation of research teams and work of research leaders will be analysed. Moreover, effective tools to support strengthening of the global position of Polish universities and the pursuit of the broadly understood research excellence will be promoted.<\/p>\n

Cooperation with Polish and foreign universities, as well as external experts, will also be established.<\/p>\n
