\u201cExcellence initiative - research university\u201d programme<\/h3>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”container”][vc_column width=”2\/3″]\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/p>\nThe University of Silesia in Katowice is one of twenty Polish universities qualified for the prestigious call for proposals under the \u201cExcellence initiative – research university\u201d programme (IDUB), implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the achieved position, our Alma Mater<\/em> will receive under this programme additional financial support – subsidy increased by 2% in comparison to 2019. This creates the opportunity to take different actions leading to systematic development and improvement of the competencies of University of Silesia staff, and most importantly \u2013 to strengthen the position of the University as a research university.<\/p>\nThe increased subsidy will be fully allocated to the implementation of Research Excellence Initiative<\/strong>, whose goal is to provide multi-layered support for the academic community, and in consequence, to ensure professional development of employees, improve the level of scientific research, and increase the University\u2019s international recognition. The activities undertaken and implemented as part of Research Excellence Initiative are coherent with the Development Strategy at the University of Silesia in Katowice for 2020-2025.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]\r\n
