Potential of Board Games in Science Communication<\/h3>\n

Our approach to education is an ever-developing process, and board games become an invaluable tool in conveying knowledge. Games that used to be associated with fun only are now being introduced into classrooms, thus reshaping education into an engaging experience. How can board games help in education? Are they able to change the way we soak up knowledge?<\/p>\n

These questions have been the starting point of the interview with Joanna Mercik, PhD, of the Institute of History and the Game Studies Research Centre. The scientist implemented a projected entitled Gamification of Education in the Process of Academic Teacher Training<\/em> within the 2nd edition of the \u2018Freedom of Research\u2019.<\/p>\n

In the interview, she shares her insights about the educational power of board games. You will learn what criteria board games should meet in order to be used in education, about her astonishing research results, and how board games can inspire both students and teachers.<\/p>\n
