\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

W 2001 roku uko\u0144czy\u0142 studia magisterskie na Uniwersytecie \u015al\u0105skim w Katowicach. W 2008 roku uzyska\u0142 stopie\u0144 doktora nauk humanistycznych, a w 2017 roku stopie\u0144 doktora habilitowanego. W 2002 roku zatrudniony w Instytucie Historii. Zajmuje si\u0119 badaniami nad dziejami \u015bredniowiecznej Skandynawii, rozwojem ideologii w\u0142adzy kr\u00f3lewskiej, miejscowej historiografii oraz skaldami i ich poezj\u0105.<\/p>\n

Autor i redaktor kilku monografii oraz kilkudziesi\u0119ciu artyku\u0142\u00f3w, publikowanych w Polsce i za granic\u0105. Bierze udzia\u0142 w pracach nad publikacj\u0105 polskoj\u0119zycznych edycji Heimskringli oraz Sagi o Jomswikingach. Organizator kilku konferencji mi\u0119dzynarodowych, mi\u0119dzy innymi zainicjowanej w 2017 roku serii The J\u00f3msborg Conference. Od 2015 do 2019 roku pe\u0142ni\u0142 obowi\u0105zki zast\u0119pcy dyrektora Instytutu Historii U\u015a ds. kszta\u0142cenia. Od 2019 jest zast\u0119pc\u0105 dyrektora kierunk\u00f3w historia, turystyka historyczna i \u015brodkowoeuropejskie studia historyczne. Koordynowa\u0142 realizacj\u0119 programu \u201eMobilno\u015b\u0107 Student\u00f3w i Pracownik\u00f3w Uczelni\u201d we wsp\u00f3\u0142pracy z uniwersytetami w Islandii i Norwegii. Od 2020 roku kieruje Centrum Bada\u0144 Nordystycznych i Staroangielskich przy Uniwersytecie \u015al\u0105skim w Katowicach.<\/p>\n

Realizowa\u0142 sta\u017ce naukowe w Uniwersytecie Islandzkim w Reykjaviku oraz Uniwersytecie w Oslo. Wyk\u0142ada\u0142 go\u015bcinnie na kilkunastu uniwersytetach w kraju oraz zagranic\u0105. Od 2017 r. jest cz\u0142onkiem korespondentem Instytutu Polsko-Skandynawskiego w Kopenhadze.<\/p>\n
