Doktorat, po\u015bwi\u0119cony problemowi zemsty w tragedii greckiej i napisany pod opiek\u0105 profesora Jerzego Styki (UJ), obroni\u0142em w 2007 r. W 2017 uzyska\u0142em stopie\u0144 doktora habilitowanego na podstawie pracy <em>Hyperejdes, Mowy<\/em> (Katowice 2016) zawieraj\u0105cej pierwszy polski przek\u0142ad zachowanych dzie\u0142 tego oratora, uwzgl\u0119dniaj\u0105cy r\u00f3wnie\u017c niedawno odkryte mowy Przeciwko Timandrosowi i Przeciwko Diondasowi. W mojej pracy nad m\u00f3wcami greckimi, jako kierownik projekt\u00f3w badawczych, korzysta\u0142em i korzystam ze wsparcia Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wy\u017cszego (2011), Narodowego Centrum Nauki (2014) oraz Narodowego Programu Rozwoju Humanistyki (2017, 2021). I have received my PhD at the University of Silesia (2007) for a thesis concerning revenge in Attic tragedy. An annotated translation of Hyperides (2016) was the basis of my habilitation (2017); it is the first rendering into Polish of the speeches of this orator along with the recently discovered fragments of Against Timandrus and Against Diondas. In my work on the orators I have benefited, as the Principal Investigator, from grants from the Polish Ministry of Higher Education (2011), the National Science Center (2014) and the National Program for the Development of Humanities (2017, 2021).
