I received my Ph.D. in 2016 after defending a thesis on the specificity of the English-French translation of imaginary world elements in 21st<\/sup>-century fantasy literature (thesis supervisor: prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Jarosz, co-supervisor: dr hab. Joanna Warmuzi\u0144ska-Rog\u00f3\u017c, prof. U\u015a).<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0In my research, I focus on contemporary imaginative fiction, especially (historical) fantasy, dystopia, and futurism, mainly in reference to the question of time and cultural elements as well as themes parallel to consensus reality. The said research is being conducted in the framework of a working project entitled \u201cInteractions of Reality and the Fantastic in Contemporary Fiction.\u201d Its objective is to show that imaginative fiction or literature using imaginative instruments resonates with reality, reflecting cultural diversity and political and social issues, as well as asking questions about the history, the present, and the future of humanity. I am also interested in the translation of contemporary fantasy, in terms of presenting and reconstructing imaginary worlds in the cultural context.<\/span><\/p>\nI have presented the results of my research at almost forty international conferences in the country and abroad, in person and online: e.g., in France (Lille, Le Mans, \u00c9pinal, Paris, Toulon), Poland (Cracow, Torun, Olsztyn), Czech Republic (Prague, Brno) or the UK (London). I analyze texts in French, English, and Polish, and have published over twenty articles and chapters in these three languages. Ces sujets sont abord\u00e9s dans le cadre du projet intitul\u00e9 Interactions entre la r<\/em>\u00e9<\/em>alit<\/em>\u00e9 et l’imaginaire dans la fiction contemporaine<\/em> dont l’objectif est de montrer que les litt\u00e9ratures de l’imaginaire ou les litt\u00e9ratures dot\u00e9es d’instruments imaginaires r\u00e9sonnent avec la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 en refl\u00e9tant la diversit\u00e9 culturelle et les risques politiques et sociaux ainsi qu’en posant des questions sur l’histoire, le pr\u00e9sent et l’avenir de l’humanit\u00e9.
