She received her PhD from the University of Silesia (<em>Joseph Conrad \u2013 spory o biografi\u0119,\u00a0<\/em>Katowice 2003. She became the assistant professor on the basis of the monograph on Translation Studies (<em>Seria w przek\u0142adzie,\u00a0<\/em>Katowice 2013). She was the head of the research group \u201eTheatrum\u201d. Since 2024 she has been the President of the Joseph Conrad Society Poland (UJ, Krak\u00f3w). She is a member of such journal editorial boards as \u201eConradiana\u201d (USA), \u201eYearbook of Conrad Studies\u201d (Poland) and \u201eThe Conradian\u201d (UK). She teaches Translation Studies.
