CEPSA<\/h3> \r\n \r\n \r\n The Central European Political Science Association (CEPSA)<\/strong> was established in 1994 as a joint forum of Central European political scientists. The main idea behind establishing the Association was to develop contacts between political scientists from the post-communist area, who were at that time in the process of re-establishing and developing political sciences in their respective countries. The idea of a shared, Central European identity also played an important role in the shaping of the need to establish such a collective, regional political science organisation. The Association is founded on the principle of collective membership, and the first countries to join were Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Currently, Croatia and Lithuania are also members of the Central European Political Science Association, and CEPSA has become the largest collective member of the International Political Science Association (IPSA).<\/p>\n\u201cPolitical Preferences\u201d, the journal of the Institute of Political Science, is the official journal of the CEPSA. Employees of the Institute of Political Science have been participating regularly in conferences organised by the association.<\/p>\n
