Its aim is to support universities in engaging with the key challenges of the contemporary world, in line with the mission of higher education institutions. The initiative is rooted in the principles set out in the apostolic constitution <em>Veritatis gaudium<\/em> (2017), which addresses the role of ecclesiastical universities and faculties in fostering dialogue between science, faith, and culture.<\/p>\n<p>The project embodies four core principles of higher education renewal, as outlined by Pope Francis:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>The kerygmatic inspiration of knowledge (VG 4a):<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Contemplation and communication of the essence of the Gospel in dialogue with the concrete reality of the human person and various forms of knowledge.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Dialogue as a space for seeking truth (VG 4b):<\/strong><br \/>\nTruth as the fruit of mutual listening, encounter, and the shared search for meaning \u2013 with dialogue as both an epistemological and theological dimension.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary integration of knowledge (VG 4c):<\/strong><br \/>\nA holistic approach to knowledge that integrates diverse disciplines in the light of Revelation and remains open to the complexity of human experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Establishing a global \u201cnetworking\u201d of academic cooperation (VG 4d):<\/strong><br \/>\nFostering collaboration among institutions of different traditions and cultures in pursuit of educational quality and the shared search for a new humanism.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>How We Work<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Frequency<\/strong>: Seminars are held twice a year in a hybrid format (in-person and online).<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Structure<\/strong>:<br \/>\n\u2013 Part I: A Master Lecture followed by an interdisciplinary panel of experts.<br \/>\n\u2013 Part II: Dialogue between the Lecturer and participants \u2013 space for questions and reflection.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Languages<\/strong>: Polish and English (main); Italian and German (optional, with simultaneous translation).<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Target audience:<\/strong> Scholars, doctoral researchers, students, and anyone engaged in deepening academic reflection.<\/p>\n<p>===============================================================================================<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lectio Magistralis Internationalis (LMI)<\/strong> to mi\u0119dzynarodowy projekt akademicki, zainicjowany w 2020 roku na Wydziale Teologicznym Uniwersytetu \u015al\u0105skiego w Katowicach. Jego celem jest wspieranie uniwersytet\u00f3w w podejmowaniu refleksji nad kluczowymi wyzwaniami wsp\u00f3\u0142czesnego \u015bwiata \u2013 zgodnie z misj\u0105 instytucji szkolnictwa wy\u017cszego.
