You may log in to the Portal via the Central Authentication Service of the University of Silesia \u2013 there is no need to set up any new account.<\/span><\/p>\n

Via the Portal:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Each semester, a student creates their individual study plans by selecting courses from a list available in the USOS system. Courses not included in the USOS database (e.g., those offered by other universities) will be added by the Secretary Office, based on the student\u2019s prior requests. Once the plan is complete, the student submits it for review by their tutor. The process resembles the one in the Archive od Diploma Theses. Any changes made to the plan become visible within a few minutes. If revisions are necessary, the plan is sent back to the previous step. Once the tutor receives the plan, they may review and either approve or reject it, providing comments as needed. After the tutor\u2019s approval, the plan is forwarded to the College of Individual Interdisciplinary Studies for final approval.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Strict deadlines for plan submission apply each semester. The student can edit their plan only within the designated deadlines (visible in the Portal when editing an individual plan). If the student and the tutor miss the deadline, a formal request must be submitted, explaining the delay and requesting for an extension. Note: failure to submit the plan on time, without an approved extension request, may result in dismissal due to lack of academic progress. The deadlines are meant to provide students with the flexibility to select and register for courses after the start of the academic year, while also adjusting their interdisciplinary schedules. Nonetheless, extending this period can lead to academic delays. We request of students and tutors to respect the specified deadlines\u2014doing so may help ensure a smooth and timely implementation of study plans.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2. A student submits the outcome of the cooperation with their tutor electronically and forwards it for review. The tutor submits an electronic review based on the assessment form.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The system notifies the tutor when new documents are uploaded. Once the review is completed and approved, it is forwarded to the College for evaluation. If revisions are needed, the review is returned to the tutor for correction.<\/span><\/p>\n
