 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • conducting scientific research in material engineering,
  • creation and leading a research group,
  • participation in the national or international research projects and grants,
  • actively applying for financing of the research projects,
  • publishing research results in journals scoring the above the cut-off number of points for the discipline material engineering and at least 100 points according to the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education,
  • conducting classes in chemistry, material chemistry and biotechnology,
  • dissemination of research results and participation in scientific conferences,
  • educating academic staff and holding the function of supervisor and reviewer of BA theses, Engineering theses and MA theses

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • scientific degree in chemical sciences,
  • documented experience in conducting research using the method of synthesis of polymers, especially ring-opening polymerization induced by thermodynamic conditions – high pressure,
  • documented experience in conducting research in kinetics and reaction mechanisms in high pressure,
  • documented, minimum 4-year experience in conducting research in chemical sciences including laboratory work connected with polymer chemistry and/or chemical physics,
  • minimum 6 years of documented experience in laboratory work,
  • documented scientific achievement material engineering published in the journals with high Impact Factor (IF) (above 3) during the last 4 years. The preferable subject of research includes the ring-opening synthesis of polymers using high pressure activation,
  • documented patents and patent applications and experience in legal protection of research,
  • documented at least 12-month (preferably at least 24-months) domestic or international scientific scholarship or internship in industry
  • Hirsch index (HI) of 6 or higher according to Web of Science,
  • minimum 1 year of experience in managing/leading domestic projects/grants
  • knowledge of research methods used in polymer and composite analysis, e.,  spectroscopic methods, e.g., BDS, NMW, FTIR, MALDI, chromatographic methods, e.g., gel permeation chromatography and calorimetry, especially experience in high-pressure calorimetry techniques,
  • ability to operate the equipment used to conduct organic reactions, in particular polymer synthesis in high-pressure conditions, as well as analysis of polymers using spectroscopic and chromatographic methods, e.g., gel permeation chromatography,
  • the ability to edit scientific publications in Polish and English,
  • command of English and Polish that allows for conducting classes,
  • readiness to conduct classes in chemistry, material chemistry and biotechnology.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • minimum 2 letters of recommendation,
  • participation in trainings that develop interpersonal and/or managerial skills documented by certifications,
  • ability to operate MS Office, Origin, Mestrenova, ChemSketch and other programs,
  • ability to cooperate in the research team,
  • ability to undertake cooperation with industry by taking part in projects financed by National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) and/or active participation in acquiring such projects,

  • specialization in climatology and meteorology or in the field of the atmospheric sciences,
  • knowledge and ability to work with atmospheric database (meteorological and climatological),
  • skill in large data analysis and its visualisation focusing on environmental data,
  • ability to operate at least one application for static analyses (preferably R or MatLab or STATISTICA) competently,
  • ability to perform audiovisual presentations,
  • knowledge of GIS software (at least one application),

  • significant scientific achievement in the scope of molecular genetics and plant functional genomics confirmed by publications in scientific journals with an international outreach, including publications in journals with IF >3,5,
  • documented authorship (first or correspondence authorship) of at least 3 publications in the highly scored journals during the last 4 years,
  • experience in conducting research in genetic mapping and gene isolation based on positional cloning and analysis of expression of individual genes as well as global transcriptome analyses,
  • experience in molecular biology techniques (work with DNA, RNA and proteins, PCR, Real-Time qPCR, sequencing, cloning, electrophoretic techniques of nucleic acids and proteins, molecular markers techniques, creation of genomic libraries for new generation sequencing),
  • proficiency in Polish that allows for conducting classes,

  • experience in molecular modeling using LAMMPS and GROMACS packages for modeling of different phenomena in Nano scale, particularly including modeling of wetting in Nano scale in the liquid-solid systems, proved by publications
