  1. Prepare the documents<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After you learn that you have been recommended for employment in the open call you will receive an email message with a list of documents to supply to the Personnel\u00a0 Department. Please read it carefully, prepare\/fill in the documents and send them as instructed.<\/p>\n

    1. If you are not an EU citizen \u2013 apply for visa<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      If you are a non-EU citizen you need to obtain visa to come to work in Poland. Visas are issued by Polish Embassies or Consulates.\u00a0Please contact the Polish Embassy or Consulate in your own country or your current country of residence and check how to apply for visa and how the application process looks like. <\/strong><\/p>\n

      Apart from submitting the application you will also have to prepare some documents as a part of the application process. In the case you need any documents from your future employer, please write an e-mail with the list of documents from the university. In the case of doubts you need to contact the<\/strong> Polish Embassy or Consulate for information. There might be different requirements in different countries. When all the required documents are prepared, you need to register on-line at https:\/\/secure.e-konsulat.gov.pl<\/a> , fill-in the visa application form and add the needed documents.<\/p>\n

      Visas\u00a0are issued for\u00a0multiple or single entry. The type of visa you need is a National “D” type visa<\/strong>. It can be issued fora maximum period of 365 days. Having the D-type visa also entitles you to travel to other Schengen countries for max 90 days within the 180-day period.<\/p>\n

      Remember that working in Poland is not permitted on the basis of a tourist visa or visa for the purpose of visiting family or friends.<\/p>\n

      1. Prepare documents<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        While waiting for your visa prepare the documents you may need in Poland: your diplomas, marriage certificate etc.<\/p>\n

        1. Accommodation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          It is good to start looking for a flat as soon as possible. University of Silesia may book you a room in one of its assistant houses (in Katowice, Chorz\u00f3w or Sosnowiec) if there are free places available. You can contact the Welcome Point to ask for such possibility.\u00a0 If there are no free rooms \u2013 you need to try to find the housing yourself.<\/p>\n

          1. Check life conditions in Poland<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            In the midst of preparing documentation and thinking about new challenges it is easy to forget to check more everyday matters as weather or prices of the basic products in the country where you are going to live for the next few years. Please bear in mind to do it in order to make your first weeks in the new country as smooth as possible.<\/p>\n

            1. Contact the University to notify us of the date of your arrival to Poland<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              After you get your visa,\u00a0 please inform the university when you are going to arrive. It will help us to start preparing your documentation and booking work medicine examination for you in advance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]\r\n
