Employees of the Welcome Point of the University of Silesia in Katowice took part in the workshop \u201eStudy in the Metropolis GZM\u201d, which took place in the Municipal Business Incubator rawa.ink in Katowice.<\/p>\n

The organizers invited representatives of the higher education institutions from the Upper Silesia-Zag\u0142\u0119bie Metropolis<\/a> who help the first-year students in their adaptation to the new\u00a0 place of living and studying, to the Welcome Point employees and to those who are responsible for cooperation with students and employees from abroad.<\/p>\n

During the event Welcome Point employees represented the University of Silesia and they actively participated in the workshop and in the discussions concerning Metropolis\u2019 potential, the ways to attract students and employees from other countries to study and work in the Metropolis and how to help them to adapt to the new studying and working conditions.<\/p>\n

The Workshop was the first stage of activities aiming to create a guide including the information on studying in the Metropolis. Next step will be organization of the meeting with students.<\/p>\n

Welcome Point of the University of Silesia wants to thank the Metropolis GZM for the possibility to take part in the \u201cStudy in the Metropolis GZM\u201d workshop. The event was a great opportunity to learn about the potential of the dynamically developing Metropolis and to meet the representatives of other higher education institutions and Welcome Points. Such initiatives allow to effectively support students in adopting to the new conditions of their academic environment.<\/p>\n

We believe that such initiatives will be developed in future, as they are important for building relations with the foreign students and employees, as well as for promotion of our region and our universities both in Poland and abroad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]\r\n
