                <div class=\"text-modules__content\"><p><strong>ALL FORMS OF SUPPORT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Individual Adaptation of Studies (IAS) encompasses the following forms of support:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1) with regard to didactic classes, in particular:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a) involvement of third parties (e.g. assistant of students with disabilities \u2013 didactic, for students with visual and hearing impairments, transport assistant, sign language interpreter),<br \/>\nb) applying additional compensatory devices (e.g. computer, Braille ruler, FM system),<br \/>\nc) possibilities of recording all types of lectures (e.g. with the aid of recorder or a video camera),<br \/>\nd) applying didactic means allowing for the reception of information via different channels, depending on the needs reported by the students (e.g. multimedia presentations, graphs, maps, illustrations, photos and recordings),<br \/>\ne) possibilities of receiving didactic materials from lecturers in an accessible form (e.g. in electronic form, in enlarged font),<br \/>\nf) sharing materials with the student in advance of the classes (e.g. outline in an electronic or paper form, the main theses, bibliography, multimedia presentation),<br \/>\ng) arranging a different, architecturally accessible, place where the classes are held,<br \/>\nh) allowing for the modification of the schedule of classes or shifting the group,<br \/>\ni) allowing for a greater number of absences during classes and for catching up with the classes on terms and conditions agreed with persons conducting the classes,<br \/>\nj) extending the deadline for the preparation of assignments, in particular more requiring and extensive written assignments and, if need be, dividing them into smaller parts,<br \/>\nk) allowing for the presentation or a paper to be delivered in a written, instead of oral, form or exchange of verbal activity during classes into a written form of credit (e.g. test, essay),<br \/>\nl) allowing for the completion of a given module in an individual manner in cases where health condition of the student makes them incapable of regularly participating in classes,<br \/>\nm) modifying the schedule of classes in a manner allowing for the minimization of absences due to pending healthcare treatment of the student,<br \/>\nn) allowing for individual consultations if the disability specifically hinders regular participation in didactic classes,<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) with regard to credits and examinations, in particular:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a) extending their duration,<br \/>\nb) involvement of sign language interpreter,<br \/>\nc) enabling the student to pass written examinations at a computer with specialized software,<br \/>\nd) receiving the examination sheets in enlarged font,<br \/>\ne) receiving examination questions in a written form during oral examinations,<br \/>\nf) modifying the form of credit\/examination from oral to written or from written to oral,<br \/>\ng) enabling the student to take short breaks during written exams,<br \/>\nh) extending the duration of examination session,<br \/>\ni) in case of examinations covering extensive material, enabling the student to have them divided into several parts,<br \/>\nj) arranging a different time and place of examination if the student\u2019s health condition makes them incapable of taking it as originally scheduled,<br \/>\nk) extending the deadline of receiving all the credits required for the completion of the semester beyond the dates specified in \u00a7 24, section 5 of the Study Regulations of the University of Silesia, subject to the obligation of attending the classes held during the next semester from their commencement,<\/p>\n<p><strong>3) educational materials, in particular:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>a) applying an electronic form,<br \/>\nb) enlarging the font,<br \/>\nc) conversion to Braille language<\/p>\n<p><strong>4) transport from home to the University and back, and between the University buildings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Students and doctoral students applying for IAS can apply for other forms of adaptation not mentioned above, but determined by their individual situation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n                    <\/div>\r\n
