Both entrances are equipped with automatic sliding door &#8211; operated via movement detector. There is a security station located at each of the entrances. In the direct vicinity of the entrances there are wheelchair ramps. The ramps are equipped with landings and protection barriers. The ramps are hard surfaced, there are no thresholds.<\/li>\n<li><u>Accessibility of corridors, stairs and elevators<\/u> \u2013 there are two pairs of accessible stairs at the Faculty as well as corridors whose width exceeds 140 cm. There are 3 elevators on the premises adjusted to the needs of persons with disabilities with automatic sliding door. The surface of the wheelchair ramps leading from corridors to the elevators exceeds 10 square meters. It is possible to contact the security station.<\/li>\n<li><u>Types of adjustments inside the building<\/u> \u2013 the toilets for persons with disabilities are equipped with a paging system \u201cKALER\u201d, enabling contact with the security station.<\/li>\n<li><u>Parking places designated for persons with disabilities and their use<\/u> \u2013 the external area of the Faculty has two parking places designed for persons with disabilities, free of charge. The parking places are marked with horizontal and vertical signs. Access to the above-mentioned places via ulica B\u0119dzi\u0144ska and ulica Lwowska.<\/li>\n<li><u>Admission with assistance dog<\/u> \u2013 it is possible to enter the premises with an assistance dog or a guide dog.<\/li>\n<li><u>Sing language interpreter<\/u> \u2013 We do not provide services of sign language interpreters nor on-line interpreter\u2019s services on the premises. The necessity of assistance of a sign language interpreter should be declared 3 days prior to the anticipated visit at the latest at: <a href=\"mailto:dostepnosc@us.edu.pl\">dostepnosc@us.edu.pl<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katowice, Bankowa 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Accessibility of the entrance to a building and passage through control areas<\/u> \u2013 it is possible to enter the building on level -1 through the entrance which is adjusted to the needs of persons with mobility impairment.<\/li>\n<li><u>Accessibility of corridors, stairs and elevators<\/u> \u2013 elevator is accessible on all floors. The corridors are adjusted for persons with mobility impairment. Access to the majority of rooms on all floors is possible.<\/li>\n<li><u>Types of adjustments inside the building<\/u> \u2013 the toilets are adjusted for persons with disabilities and are equipped with the calling system on floors 1, 2 and 3. Students\u2019 Activity Zone has been designed to cater for the needs of persons with disabilities.<\/li>\n<li><u>Parking places designated for persons with disabilities and their use<\/u> \u2013 there are two parking places for persons with disabilities on the parking lot assigned to the building. The parking lot can be accessed from ulica Bankowa. The barrier on the way to the parking lot is opened either with a remote control or by the person in the gate-house. The parking lot is free of charge.<\/li>\n<li><u>Admission with assistance dog<\/u> \u2013 it is possible to enter the premises with an assistance dog or a guide dog.<\/li>\n<li><u>Sing language interpreter<\/u> \u2013 We do not provide services of sign language interpreters nor on-line interpreter\u2019s services on the premises. The size of maneuvering area in front of the entrance is 130 x 150 cm, the width of automatic sliding entrance door, operated with a button, is 110 cm. Entering the building by persons with disabilities does not require assistance of third persons.<\/li>\n<li><u>Accessibility of corridors, stairs and elevators<\/u> \u2013 the elevator is accessible on all floors. The corridors are adjusted for persons with mobility impairment. The majority of rooms on the ground floor, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors are freely accessible.<\/li>\n<li><u>Types of adjustments inside the building<\/u> \u2013 the toilet is adjusted to the needs of persons with disabilities. Students\u2019 Activity Zone has been designed to cater for the needs of persons with disabilities.<\/li>\n<li><u>Parking places designated for persons with disabilities and their use<\/u> \u2013 three parking places, located on the internal yard of the building, have been marked. The internal yard of the building can be accessed from ulica Jagiello\u0144ska. The barrier is opened with a remote control available in the faculty administration office.<\/li>\n<li><u>Admission with assistance dog<\/u> \u2013 it is possible to enter the premises with an assistance dog or a guide dog.<\/li>\n<li><u>Sing language interpreter<\/u> \u2013 We do not provide services of sign language interpreters nor on-line interpreter\u2019s services on the premises.
