Training concerning Library Use - CINIBA<\/h3> \r\n
\r\n
\r\n Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library(CINiBA)<\/strong>\u00a0is a joint scientific resource of two Katowice universities: The University of Silesia and the University of Economics. It was launched in 2012 and it is based in the premises of the university campus. CSIAL invites students, doctoral students, scientific employees as well as inhabitants of Silesia who may use the resources of the library (at present the Centre holds almost 2 million of publications), as well as provides consultations regarding scientific information. The library functions also as an institute of culture: conferences, trainings, exhibitions or trips are organized in it.<\/p>\n

The building of the Centre is an example of modern architectural structure in which all amenities that allow the readers to use the necessary materials freely are located. The library is adjusted also to the needs of the disabled persons. The readers may use: the computer equipment, scanners, individual work cabins as well as devices for self-check and self-return of books. The readers may also obtain assistance from the personnel who will inform them about the functioning of the Centre in person at the library building as well as by phone or electronically.<\/p>\n

In response to the needs of the users related to the changing reality, the library realizes many services remotely. The readers may thus register online, use a broad offer of electronic sources from home or order a digital copy of the necessary material. CSIAL provides access to such databases as the Repository of the University of Silesia that gathers publications of academic employees, Didactic Digital Library of US containing materials necessary for students to attend classes as well as other platforms containing, among others, books in an electronic format. On the CSIAL channel in the YouTube service, movie database manuals are available.<\/p>\n

The library updates the data concerning its functioning on an ongoing basis \u2013 we invite you to visit the website (ciniba.edu.pl<\/a>) and the profiles in social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).<\/p>\n

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE?<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can subscribe online by filling out and sending us\u00a0the form \u201eRegister of new readers\u201d<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Then, a request for remote access to the account should be additionally sent to\u00a0bgwyp@ciniba.edu.pl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After verification of authorization for the newly registered reader to the email address specified in the form a message about account activation will be sent.<\/p>\n

During the first visit in the library, you should appear at the library with your student ID card and your student record book.<\/p>\n
