If you are a student (and you have completed the second year of studies) or a graduate in Law, Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Work, Cognitive Science, Family Studies or Philosophical Counselling and Coaching and you want to help crime victims \u2013 our project is addressed to you!<\/p>\n<h4><strong>What is \u2018Volunteering at Victim Help Points\u2019?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The aim of volunteering at the Help Point is to focus on the needs of victims of violence, often left on their own and completely helpless. It also allows students and graduates to gain experience in the field of psychological and legal assistance. Volunteering is carried out at Victim Help Points and self \u2013 help units \u2013 these institutions operate in most cities in the Silesian Voivodeship.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteering consists of the following stages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>reporting your willingness to participate in volunteering by completing and submitting the <a href=\"http:\/\/bk.us.edu.pl\/sites\/bk.us.edu.pl\/files\/imce\/projekty\/2005_wolontariat\/wolontariat_formularz_2017.doc\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_doc\">form<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>obligatory participation in two trainings in the field of providing psychological and legal assistance, conducted by employees of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Katowice as well as invited speakers,<\/li>\n<li>assigning a volunteer to a selected self \u2013 help unit,<\/li>\n<li>volunteering on the date agreed with the self \u2013 help unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>What are the benefits of volunteering?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>By participating in volunteering, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>acquire knowledge in the field of psychological and legal assistance to crime victims,<\/li>\n<li>gain valuable professional experience and get to know the specifics of work in institutions offering support to crime victims,<\/li>\n<li>feel the satisfaction of helping other people!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Who can become a volunteer?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Volunteering is primarily addressed to students (who have completed the second year of studies) and graduates in Law, Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Work, Cognitive Science, Family Studies or Philosophical Counselling and Coaching.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>When and how can I volunteer?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The project is organised annually.
