Thanks to such a meeting, you may discover new professional opportunities or check whether your current ideas are consistent with the situation in the labour market. Career advisors at the Career Office of the University of Silesia can provide you with information about job and training opportunities and education, or take a professional look at your application documents.<\/p>\n<p>As part of career counselling, you can count on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>help in defining your professional goals and career planning,<\/li>\n<li>help in defining your strengths and weaknesses,<\/li>\n<li>information about the situation in the labour market in your industry,<\/li>\n<li>advice on preparing a professional r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and cover letter,<\/li>\n<li>trial job interview,<\/li>\n<li>information on modern forms of recruitment and selection of employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Who runs career counselling at the Career Office?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Depending on the faculty where you study, you will be supported by one of our advisors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>students of the Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Art and Educational Science:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ewelina Skuba\u0142a-Skrzynecka<\/strong><br \/>\ne\u2013mail: <a href=\"mailto:ewelina.skubala@us.edu.pl\">ewelina.skubala@us.edu.pl<\/a><br \/>\nphone: 32 359 19 77 \/ 508 375 583<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>students of the Faculty of Law and Administration, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Social Sciences and the Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Film School:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ma\u0142gorzata Chatys<\/strong><br \/>\ne\u2013mail: <a href=\"mailto:malgorzata.chatys@us.edu.pl\">malgorzata.chatys@us.edu.pl<\/a><br \/>\nphone: 32 359 20 32 \/ 508 371 586<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>How do I make an appointment with a career advisor?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>If you want to explore your professional development opportunities, start looking for a job, or simply ask for advice in writing application documents or take part in a trial job interview \u2013 call us or send an e \u2013 mail including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your full name,<\/li>\n<li>the name of the faculty where you study,<\/li>\n<li>year of studies,<\/li>\n<li>information about your current status in the labour market,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>to your advisor&#8217;s e \u2013 mail address with information on the matter you would like to discuss. You will receive a reply with a proposed date for an individual meeting during which you will be able to talk about your doubts, plans and aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>Based on this information, our career advisor will select methods that will help you answer your questions as best as they can. Sometimes one meeting is enough, sometimes there are several of them. Nevertheless, each of them will certainly bring new information to your professional plans.<\/p>\n<p>Until 30 April 2021, career coaching was carried out as part of the project \u2018STUDIES AND WHAT NEXT \u2013 increasing the competitiveness of University of Silesia students in the labour market\u2019 financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund.
