recruitment for the scholarship program for doctoral students pursuing an international doctorate\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

for academic year 2024\/2025<\/p>\n

Recruitment date: 17.10.2024, 9:00 – 07.11.2024, 23:59<\/p>\n

Recruitment method: electronic, using the SRW IT system<\/p>\n

Subject of recruitment<\/strong><\/p>\n

Increase of the doctoral scholarship in the amount of PLN 1,280 per month for 12 months of the academic year 2024\/2025 for 6 doctoral students. The scholarship will be paid monthly, on the last workday of the month. First scholarship will be paid at the end of November 2024, with compensation for October 2024.<\/p>\n

Who can apply for the scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n

A person who meets all of the following conditions can apply for the scholarship:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Has the status of a doctoral student at a doctoral school;<\/li>\n
  2. Has settled the first year of education at the doctoral school on time and is currently in the second year of education.<\/li>\n
  3. Is entitled to receive a doctoral scholarship.<\/li>\n
  4. Has Polish citizenship.<\/li>\n
  5. Is pursuing an international doctorate, as it is understand in the project, which is one of the following:\n
      \n
    1. a doctorate pursued in the co-tutelle model within the framework of an individual contract or cooperation between the University of Silesia and another university;<\/li>\n
    2. a doctorate pursued in cooperation with another foreign university under a program or agreement;<\/li>\n
    3. having a supervisor employed at a foreign university;<\/li>\n
    4. pursuing a doctorate in the framework of international cooperation (e.g. a grant pursued jointly with foreign researchers).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    5. Is residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland, excluding periods of mobility.<\/li>\n
    6. Has submitted a correct application using the form provided in this announcement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Assessment criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

      The following criteria will be taken into account in the assessment of applications:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Academic achievements in the first year of education<\/li>\n
      2. Pursuit of an International Doctorate<\/li>\n
      3. Popular Science Activities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        If fewer applications are submitted than the number of scholarship places (6), the substantive evaluation of applications is waived.<\/p>\n

        Before submitting an application, please familiarize yourself with the detailed application rules <\/strong>described in the Rules for recruitment and participation in the scholarship program, which is an annex to Order No. 78\/2024 of the Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice.<\/p>\n
