The competition was conducted based on the Regulations for the Expenditure of Funds for the Research Activities of Doctoral Students of the Doctoral School, introduced by Order No. 1/2026 of the Dean of the Doctoral School. On May 20, 2026, the competition committee appointed by the Dean of the Doctoral School determined the distribution of funds in the competition.

By the deadline, 132 applications were received, including 15 applications that were duplicated or withdrawn by the applicants. 10 applications were rejected for formal reasons due to lack of supervisor confirmation or exceeding the maximum amount in one of the categories.

The committee evaluated 107 applications. During the evaluation, the committee decided to reject three applications for merit-based reasons (due to low merit, low assessment of the project’s feasibility, or impossibility of implementing the project).

Applications totaling PLN 290,891.17 were accepted for evaluation.

After reviewing all applications, the committee decided:

Based on the committee members’ assessments and after analyzing the costs presented in the applications, the committee decided to fund 89 applications, some in full and some in part, and to conditionally qualify 15 applications.

Applications funded and conditionally funded are published. All applicants whose applications were conditionally funded will receive information about conditions by May 21.

Those who did not receive funding will receive information about the reason for the rejection in a separate email.

The committee’s decision is final and cannot be appealed.

The committee’s final proposal is to fund applications with the same cutoff point in all three competitions: 27/36 points (75%).

One application was submitted, formally satisfactory. The application, assessed at 22 points, will not be funded.

Six applications were submitted, all formally satisfactory. Five applications received the required number of points, for a total value (after reasonable reductions in some cost estimates): PLN 34,160.

A total of 129 applications were submitted, including 17 unfinished or duplicate applications (a duplicate application is the same application mistakenly submitted a second time).

Formal Evaluation

Thirty-one applications were rejected for formal reasons, including three due to a lack of supervisor confirmation and 29 due to a failure to declare any evaluation outcome (one application was rejected for both reasons). At the very beginning of the meeting, after analyzing the financial situation and the regulations, the Committee decided not to fund applications that did not include a declaration of evaluation outcome. This primarily concerned applicants who, instead of a publication, grant application, or other evaluated achievement, listed, for example, a paper delivered, an internship, a dissertation chapter, etc. in the “Estimated result of the planned project” field.

Substantial Evaluation

The committee evaluated a total of 81 applications for a total amount of PLN 409,032.53, including:

Based on the evaluation and after rationally reducing some cost estimates, the committee decided to fund 35 applications for a total amount of PLN 149,663.95, including:

TOTAL

In three competitions, the committee decided to fund 40 applications for a total amount of PLN 183,763.95.

The results are published in a form of a list of funded applications.
