A doctoral scholarship<\/strong> is a stipend that is mandatory for doctoral students at a doctoral school. Therefore, competitions for doctoral scholarships are also competitions for admission to the Doctoral School for a four-year period of education. National regulations determine the minimum scholarship amount and associated social security contributions.<\/p>\n

This page publishes all announcements of doctoral scholarship competitions organized by the Doctoral School of the University of Silesia<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A research scholarship<\/strong> is an additional scholarship that may be awarded to a person with doctoral student status (sometimes also student status). This means that only doctoral students who are already at the doctoral school may participate in these competitions. A research scholarship is awarded for performing tasks assigned under a grant or other project. The amount and duration of this scholarship can vary significantly and are determined by the funding institution (e.g., the National Science Center).<\/p>\n
