This admission is open to doctoral students newly admitted to the Doctoral School and those completing their first year.<\/p>\n
Necessary documents<\/strong><\/p>\n By October 9, 2025, Candidates are required to:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The interview will be held in English on October 13, 2025<\/strong>, at 13.00 on the Teams platform.<\/p>\n The Candidates will be interviewed and assessed by an examination committee chaired by the discipline coordinator for humanities, theology and arts and composed of four full or associate professors (\u201cprofessore ordinario\u201d or \u201cprofessore associato\u201d on the Italian side and \u201cdoktor habilitowany\u201d or \u201cprofesor tytularny\u201d on the Polish side), representing the disciplines of English Literary and Cultural Studies as well as Translation Studies and Linguistics: three examiners shall represent the University of Silesia and one shall represent the Sapienza University in Rome.<\/p>\n More about the program<\/strong><\/p>\n The joint program will be realized in the co-tutelle formula, with two supervisors. In order to obtain a doctoral diploma from the University of Silesia in Katowice and the Sapienza University in Rome, in the course of the program, the doctoral student is required to spend at least 5 months at the partner University under the academic supervision of the co-director of the thesis. Each year, doctoral students must pay an initial fee, but they will be able to receive an additional scholarship for the time spent in Rome.<\/p>\n Doctoral students are responsible for obtaining funds for mobility.
