The competition was conducted based on the Regulations on spending funds for the scientific activity of doctoral students at the Doctoral School at the University of Silesia in Katowice, introduced by Order No. 1\/2025 of the Dean of the Doctoral School. On October 28, 2025, the competition committee appointed by the Dean of the Doctoral School determined the distribution of funds in the competition.<\/p>\n
73 applications were submitted within the established deadline, including 1 application that was not submitted correctly or were submitted twice. 4 applications were rejected due to formal reasons<\/p>\n
The committee assessed 68 applications. During the assessment, the committee decided to reject 5 applications for substantive reasons (due to low substantive level, low assessment of the project\u2019s purposefulness or impossibility of implementing the project).<\/p>\n
Based on the assessments of the committee members and after analyzing the costs presented in the applications, the committee decided to finance 63 applications, some in full and some in part. In accordance with the provisions of the regulations, the Doctoral School publishes information on the funds awarded.<\/p>\n
Those who did not receive funding will receive information about the reason in a separate email.<\/p>\n
