The Doctoral School at the University of Silesia in Katowice invites PhD students from across Europe to participate in the second edition of the international Seasonal School \u201cBeyond Barriers: the Role of Social Sciences in Building Accessibility\u201d, which will take place on 8\u201312 June 2026 at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland.<\/p>\n
The event has an interdisciplinary character and focuses on accessibility as one of the key challenges of contemporary societies. The programme addresses issues related to access to education, public space, digital technologies, social participation, and cultural resources.<\/p>\n
Participants will engage in lectures, workshops, seminars, and collaborative group work. The School provides a stimulating international academic environment fostering intellectual exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue, and lasting academic connections. The programme will be conducted in English.<\/p>\n
The Seasonal School 2026 is organised within the framework of the Blended Intensive Programme (Erasmus+) and the project \u201cInternational from the beginning \u2013 support of internationalization\u201d under the NAWA STER programme. Participation is free of charge. Participants may apply for Erasmus+ BIP funding to support travel and subsistence costs and will have the opportunity to obtain ECTS credits and a certificate of participation.<\/p>\n
PhD students in the fields of social sciences and humanities who are interested in interdisciplinary research, social challenges, and international academic collaboration.<\/p>\n
