On May 8, 2026, the conference \u201cRestless World, Restless Democracies\u201d<\/em> will take place on the campus of Universidade Cat\u00f3lica Portuguesa in Lisbon.<\/p>\n

IEP Colloquia 2026 offers an in-depth reflection on the challenges facing contemporary democracies in the context of geopolitical instability, escalating conflicts, and declining trust in institutions. Moving beyond individual or episodic crises, the conference examines political unrest as a structural condition that simultaneously affects domestic politics and the international order.<\/p>\n

The program includes individual paper presentations followed by discussion sessions that foster academic dialogue and critical debate. The program will also feature a keynote lecture and special networking sessions encouraging the exchange of ideas and collaboration among researchers from various disciplines and institutions.<\/p>\n
