Over four intensive days, participants will explore democratic processes, practice community engagement tools, and enhance cross-border cooperation on civic participation between Ukrainian community leaders in Lithuania and Poland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Format:<\/strong> 4\u2011day residential, highly interactive training combining experiential learning, peer exchange, and applied project work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dates:<\/strong> 14-17 April 2026<br \/>\n14 April \u2013 Katowice, University of Silesia<br \/>\n15\u201317 April \u2013 Podlesice, Hotel Ostaniec<\/p>\n<p><strong>Venue:<\/strong> Katowice, University of Silesia \/ Podlesice, Hotel Ostaniec<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working language:<\/strong> English<\/p>\n<p><strong>Target group:<\/strong> Ukrainian community leaders living in Poland<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration form:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/U8RgxaycnAz7VeRL7\" rel=\"nofollow \">https:\/\/forms.gle\/U8RgxaycnAz7VeRL7<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Participant Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We invite Ukrainian community leaders, active volunteers, coordinators, cultural activity leaders, project initiators, and emerging civic actors of Ukrainian origin who currently live anywhere in Poland \u2014 large cities, regional centres, and rural municipalities. Both representatives of formal organizations (associations, foundations, culture centres, diaspora groups) and informal community initiatives are welcome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participants should (eligibility criteria):\\<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arrived in Poland on 24 February 2022 or later from Ukraine.<\/li>\n<li>Hold Ukrainian citizenship.<\/li>\n<li>Be 18+ and involved in community or civic work.<\/li>\n<li>Have a sufficient level of English.<\/li>\n<li>Commit to full participation in the 4-day training.<\/li>\n<li>Be motivated to strengthen civic participation and community engagement where they live.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We aim for balanced representation, diversity in age and gender, and inclusion of smaller or emerging local initiatives \u2014 not only well\u2011established organizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aim:<\/strong> To empower Ukrainian community leaders living in Poland and Lithuania with the knowledge, skills, partnerships, and practical tools needed to initiate, strengthen, and sustain civic participation and community development initiatives in their local contexts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Build Civic Competencies:<\/strong> Develop participants\u2019 understanding of democratic systems in EU, rights\u2011based participation, and effective models of civic action at community level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strengthen Community Leadership &amp; Engagement:<\/strong> Equip leaders with practical methods to mobilize community members, facilitate dialogue, identify community needs, and design inclusive participation processes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accelerate Local Civic Initiatives:<\/strong> Support participants to co\u2011create local activities, form partnerships with institutions, and plan follow\u2011up implementation after the training.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Training course topics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Civic society &amp;
