New technologies, pollution, migration patterns, to just name a few, result in increasing pressure to transform present business models, structures and processes to meet these challenges. Within the disciplines’ innovation management and entrepreneurship, many strategies and instruments were developed to design products, services, processes and structures to realize novel ideas and enable change. Still, in the face of ecological, social and digital transformation, the respective models and instruments appear to fall short in enacting change, appropriate to the speed and significance of our challenges. One answer for the call of an adapted approach is knowledge entrepreneurship. The new concept aims to empower individuals to seek and implement transformational change. The lecture introduces state of the art innovation adoption models and innovation barriers. Subsequently, participants learn more about the concept of knowledge entrepreneurship and several strategies, which are developed and tested for the purpose of striving for transformation, are scrutinized.

This course is intended for Master students or students within certification programs such as the Europaicum/Transform4Europe

Learning objectives

The specific competencies students are expected to acquire in the process include:

(1) An understanding of the relevance and characteristics of innovation and the innovation adoption process,

(2) deep knowledge of knowledge entrepreneurship as instrument to foster transformation,

(3) the ability to consciously identify, evaluate and select opportunities for transformational change in one’s personal or professional environment

(4) the application of agile and/or design thinking approaches to purse identified opportunities.

More information is available at:

https://www.uni-saarland.de/lehrstuhl/schnellbaecher/lehre/master-vorlesungen/knowledge-entrepreneurship.html

[/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1669994669569{margin-bottom: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;}” el_class=”font-button”]Saarland University | ECTS: 6 | BC/AC | Modality: online | Language of tuition: English The course provides students with the basic theories and concepts regarding innovation management.

In the first part of the course, we will deepen the concepts of “innovation”, “platform innovation”, “discontinuous innovation”, “disruptive innovation”. Vlogging, meanwhile, can shed light on facts and topics that would otherwise remain hidden.

This course explores how to make podcasts and vlogs that are meaningful and interesting to a wide audience. Students will learn the practical skills needed to be able to make their own podcasts and vlogs, and they will also gain skills they can use in generating and creating original content.

With examples of successful content, the class will examine the value in podcasting and vlogging, why it has become so popular, and what skills are specific to the medium. The course will then give a thorough grounding in how to write, produce, and edit podcasts and vlogs, using readily available software, and hardware already available to the student.

Students will get the chance to work in small groups on their own podcast or vlog, using the skills they have learned. If a student does not enjoy public speaking or presenting, they are welcome to write or edit content instead of appearing on the programme.

Note: the student will NOT be asked to purchase any software subscriptions or new equipment in order to take part in this course. All that is needed is a normal computer and a phone with a free voice recorder app and camera.

Focus topics:

There is no exam for this course – it will be continuously assessed based on students’ participation in lectures, and group work. Students will work on creating their own podcast or vlog as part of a small group, with part of the course assessment based on this being submitted to the lecturer, and presented to the rest of the group in the final lecture.

Video intro: https://vimeo.com/749530667/1d701fcf2b.

[/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1668682689463{margin-bottom: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;}” el_class=”font-button”]The Estonian Academy of Arts | ECTS: 3 | BC/AC | Modality: online AREA: LANGUAGES & INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCIES

[vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”container”][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1661334757428{margin-bottom: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;}” el_class=”font-button”]subject title
