The main issues that it covers are medical informatics, bioinformatics, medical imaging, image processing, telemedicine, physiological signal processing, biomechanics, biomaterials, 3D modelling and biomedical optics. Graduates of this field of study are sought after to work in companies producing medical equipment and apparatus, as well as in hospitals and clinics. One can also work in research and scientific units, as well as in enterprises where medical equipment is sold. As part of the studies, the student gains knowledge not only in electronic medical apparatus and programming, but also biophysics and biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, medical imaging techniques and implantology.
