Mathematics<\/h3> \r\n \r\n \r\n First cycle studies in mathematics<\/strong> are aimed at educating graduates who have a thorough and comprehensive mathematical knowledge sufficient for them to be able to continue their studies in second cycle studies or practice the mathematics profession in various positions related to the use of mathematical tools in the IT, financial, commercial or production sector, or to teach mathematics and conduct computer classes in the second stage of education.<\/p>\nWithin the field of study programme there are majors in:<\/p>\n
\n- mathematical methods of computer science,<\/li>\n
- mathematical modelling,<\/li>\n
- mathematics in finance and economics,<\/li>\n
- teaching specialty – teaching of mathematics and chemistry,<\/li>\n
- teaching specialty – teaching of mathematics and computer science,<\/li>\n
- theoretical mathematics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
First cycle<\/strong> students of Mathematics<\/strong> with a teacher training programme<\/strong> who are involved in the project receive a laptop (with Office software) for the whole duration of their education and participate in workshops on a modern multimedia board usage. They can take advantage of the tutoring offer. The graduate has the right to teach two subjects: mathematics and computer science in primary and high schools.<\/p>\nIn teh second cycle studies<\/strong>, students acquire comprehensive and in-depth mathematical knowledge which enables them to continue their studies at doctoral school or to become professional mathematicians.
