\"\"<\/a>Software tester\u2019s day is celebrated in memory of 9 September 1947, when in the Mark II computer a bug was found – an actual bug which shorted out the relay, leading to the computer malfunction (photo) \ud83d\ude0e<\/p>\n

However, the term “bug” itself doesn\u2019t come from IT slang, but from engineering jargon, and was used long before the “bug” was found in the Mark II computer.<\/p>\n

And a tester… Well, it\u2019s not an easy job. Teammates often “joke” that they\u2019ve got a lot of extra work because of the testers.<\/p>\n

Good testers even torture the tested program because they have to find all its weaknesses and faults – of course, everything is reported and the programmers have to correct it.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more, you need to have certain predispositions and skillfully “pick on” the details – my students submitting their projects exactly know what I mean. \ud83d\ude01<\/p>\n

But let’s face it – without Testers, probably more than one of us would have thrown the computer out of the window in an anger attack caused by errors. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
