We are pleased to inform you that\u00a0<\/span>Prof. Monika Musia\u0142<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0of the USil Institute of Chemistry has been\u00a0invited to the group of experts at the\u00a0European Research Council\u00a0(ERC), PE4 Panel (Physical\u00a0and\u202f\u00a0Analytical Chemical Sciences), for the evaluation of the CoG-2024 Consolidator\u00a0Grant.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Musia\u0142 is the third Polish person among the experts ot the PE4 Panel since 2013. Being part of the expert group involved two trips to Brussels for the council\u2019s proceedings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ERC Consolidator Grant is dedicated to researchers who are 7 to 12 years post-PhD. The ERC supports ambitious research projects aimed at making major discoveries or achieving ground-breaking results. The criterion for project evaluation is scientific excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Monika Musia\u0142 is an expert in quantum chemistry. She has co-created a series of advanced computational methods that are highly relevant to quantum chemists. Her works have had a significant impact on the scientific community (8,616 citations, and a Hirsch index of 35). She has been involved in numerous projects (as project leader or principal investigator) funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) and the National Science Centre (NCN).<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Monika Musia\u0142 has shared her story regarding the scientific path she had chosen on the occasion of the\u00a0<\/span>International Day of Women and Girls in Science<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
