{"id":197225,"date":"2026-04-01T12:42:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T10:42:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/wydzial\/wpia\/?p=197225"},"modified":"2026-04-01T12:33:21","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T10:33:21","slug":"english-new-publications-in-the-ip-lab-series-an-interdisciplinary-perspective-on-intellectual-property-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/wydzial\/wpia\/en\/2026\/04\/01\/english-new-publications-in-the-ip-lab-series-an-interdisciplinary-perspective-on-intellectual-property-law\/","title":{"rendered":"New publications in the IP LAB series \u2013 an interdisciplinary perspective on intellectual property law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column]\r\n                <div class=\"text-modules\">\r\n                    <div class=\"container\">\r\n                        \r\n                        <div class=\"text-modules__content\"><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>The Faculty of Law and Administration<\/strong><\/span> announces <strong>the release of the latest publications in the IP LAB series<\/strong>, produced by<strong> T<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>he Centre for the Law of Design, Fashion and Advertising<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>This unique publishing project is the result of interdisciplinary research workshops held in January 2026 as the culmination of a course on intellectual property strategies and law.<\/p>\n<p>The publications take the form of <strong>proceedings, combining academic reflection with practical experience and the analysis of real-world cases<\/strong> from the fields of business, science, and the creative industries.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first volume of &#8220;Proceedings of Comparative Perspectives on Intellectual Property in Ghana, Nigeria, and the International Regulatory System&#8221; focuses on a <strong>comparative analysis of intellectual property law systems in selected African countries<\/strong> \u2013 Ghana and Nigeria \u2013 and their relationship with the international regulatory system. The publication examines how these systems function in market practice, particularly in the context of the creative sectors.<\/li>\n<li>The second volume of \u201eProceedings of Global Perspectives on Strategic Intellectual Property Management in Fashion Business\u201d is dedicated to <strong>intellectual property management in the fashion industry<\/strong>. The authors analyze, among other topics, brand-building strategies, trademark protection, design and trade dress, as well as the impact of new technologies\u2014including artificial intelligence\u2014on creative and business processes.<\/li>\n<li>The third volume of \u201eProceedings of Global Perspectives on Strategic Intellectual Property Management in Business and Science\u201d explores the <strong>strategic role of intellectual property law in science and innovation<\/strong>. Particular attention is given to tools such as patents, trade secrets, and data protection, which support technological development and the creation of competitive advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The scientific editors of the volumes are faculty members of the Department: prof. Marlena Jankowska-Augustyn and prof. Miros\u0142aw Pawe\u0142czyk from the University of Silesia; and prof.
