ZBYNĚK JANÁČEK
In the years 1976-1981 he graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Palacky University in Olomouc. In the early 1990s, he participated in the creation of a new field of art studies at the University of Ostrava, where he has been teaching since 1993. Here he also continuously held the positions of deputy dean, dean and vice-rector. He received the title of assistant professor in 1998. He was appointed as a professor in 2017. Since 2016, he has been the head of the graphic studio of the Department of Drawing and Graphics at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. He took part in many collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad (Poland, Italy, Slovakia, Germany). He has exhibited independently at dozens of exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He is the winner of the Award. Vladimír Boudník Award for 2013 and the winner of Graphics Awards in 2010 and 2014. His work involves graphic design, screen printing and computer graphics. He is a member of the Koncretistů 3 Club, SČUG Hollar, Art Department Art Talk and the Q Association, Brno. Lives and works in Ostrava.
