T4EU events in Katowice and Cieszyn have begun! Students, staff, and friends of T4EU gathered at the University of Silesia in Katowice to experience a week filled with unique events – T4EU Week, Strategic Assembly, as well as workshops and the Annual Heritage conference.
On the first day, T4EU Week participants enjoyed an opening lecture by Robert Rajczyk, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor. Afterwards, students took part in activities prepared as part of a special educational offer including seven different modules: Communication Skills for STEM English, Negotiation Ninja: Skills for Business and Personal Triumphs, Who, where, what, why, why not: understanding cultures in an incomprehensible world, Individualized Education Program (IEP) for Students With Disabilities, Gender Equality In Society. A Socio-cultural Perspective, Challenges and Choices of the Anthropocene Epoch, and Fundamentals of cybersecurity – transdisciplinary approach.
The Strategic Assembly was underlined by Student Council meetings. Student representatives from the partner universities discussed key challenges and goals related to the T4EU Alliance. These discussions are important for building an even stronger European academic community.
A workshop on European heritage ran in parallel. Their participants took part, among others, in a panel on linguistic heritage conducted by Grzegorz Kulik and Tymoteusz Król, PhD.
The first T4EU event day was also a time of socialising! Students and staff were able to get to know Katowice a little better by taking a walk around the city together. And in the evening, everyone got together for an integration party accompanied by sports contests.
