IT’S KAUNASTIC!
PHOTO REPORT FROM THE VISIT AT THE VYTAUTAS MAGNUS UNIVERSITY IN KAUNAS
THE DELEGATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SILESIA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN KAUNAS WITHIN THE TRANSFORM4EUROPE
Is it possible to imagine a “vivid” university without people who can meet at various universities and talk about the university that should be created? The experiences from the past few months have shown that although it is possible, some tasks would have been realised easier thanks to direct meetings.
On 15–17 September, the delegation from the University of Silesia made their first visit at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas within the Transform4Europe. The academics and representatives of the administration staff met with the community of the Lithuanian university to talk about joint degree programmes along with scientific and art projects. The talks featured also the representatives of the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn. The visit was an opportunity to get to know the university and go sightseeing in the former Lithuanian capital. The participants have visited among others the university’s laboratories and a beautiful library.

“We have been cooperating with the Vytautas Magnus University and the Estonian Academy of Arts for over a year within the Transform4Europe. So far, we have been meeting regularly but only in an online form. Thanks to the visit to Kaunas, I could finally meet in person many people I cooperate with. A fantastic meeting!
