The University of Silesia in Katowice invites you to the international scientific conference “Industrial Heritage and the Traces of Industrialization in Urban Space”, which will take place on May 6, 2025 in Katowice (spinPLACE, 5 Bankowa Street). The event will be devoted to a multifaceted reflection on industrial heritage and traces of industrialization in contemporary urban space.
The conference program will include presentations by researchers and practitioners from France, Germany, Spain, Estonia, the Czech Republic and Poland i.a. from the partner universities of the Transfrom4Europe alliance, who will delve into topics related to the transformation of post-industrial areas, the social dimension of industrial heritage, the cultural context of deindustrialization, as well as the protection and reinterpretation of urban spaces.
Participation in the conference is free of charge. The conference will be conducted in English.
