T4EU Week in Katowice will host the Strategic Assembly, the biggest annual meeting where members of the T4EU academic community discuss future initiatives and new ideas concerning our European University, as well as sum up all the activities so far. The meeting will gather members of the Executive Board, the Steering Committee, the Management Board, and the Student Council.
A significant point of the Assembly will be the handover of the T4EU Presidency, a function that is to foster collaboration between partners. The T4EU Presidency in 2023-2024 was held by the University of Silesia in Katowice. During this year’s ceremonies, Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, the Rector of the University of Silesia, will hand the Presidency over to Prof. Juozas Augustis, the Rector of the Vytautas Magnus University.
The Strategic Assembly’s agenda includes the Policy Conference, taking place on 22 October, where experts representing universities of the Alliance are to take part in a debate on ‘Diplomacy of Universities’.
22 October is also a day for the Global Partnership Forum, gathering representatives of academic and non-academic communities who are to take up the subject of water in its broad sense. Experts will deliberate on it as a critical resource of not only economic value but having tremendous significance from the perspective of international relations. The Forum will promote sustainable practices of water management in line with the T4EU mission. It is also to strengthen the cooperation between alliance members and other experts in this field. Moreover, it will give space to establish contacts and create new partnerships.
