Transform4Europe | meet our goals
Open laboratories, international interdisciplinary study programmes, development of challenge-based education, mobility and meetings of employees, students and doctoral students – these are just some of the possibilities that the alliance with six other universities under „Transform4Europe – T4E: The European University for Knowledge Entrepreneurs” project has opened for us.
Together with them we have formed the European University which will provide knowledge entrepreneurs with expert knowledge and educate them to have a significant impact on shaping the future of their region, country and Europe. We will work on developing joint international study programmes based on innovative education. We are planning to conduct interdisciplinary scientific research and intensify the academic exchange. We will build a multilingual campus. We will strengthen our cooperation with the region, based on implementing the solutions developed within the alliance.
To achieve this goal, over the next few years we will jointly design many pilot initiatives. Below are presented the most important proposals in the fields of education, mobility and academic exchange, as well as cooperation with the region, which we want to implement until 2023, are presented.
JOINT EUROPEAN CURRICULA
Our goal is to design challenge-based education. We are interested in real problems, which we want to face, based on the results of latest scientific research, expert knowledge and practice, as well as experience and cooperation with the social-economic environment and the region. We jointly develop innovative solutions for all three study levels and lifelong learning.
The most important thematic areas that will determine the direction for Transform4Europe education include:
- digital transformation and smart regions;
- environmental changes and sustainability;
- societal transformation and community building.
Transform4Europe has also become a part of the European Education Area. We will:
- develop key competences for lifelong learning,
- learn to function in the digital, multilingual and intercultural world,
- enhance the common European values and inclusive education.
INNOVATIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
We will offer Transform4Europe Teaching Academy to our teachers. We will reflect together on how to take care of high-quality education and innovative teaching standards. We will propose specialist trainings in the field of joint or new teaching methods. We will also create a common space for online education.
COMMON LANGUAGE STRATEGY
Europe is mostly about the valuable multilingualism. Although our communication, at least in the beginning, will be based on the English language, we would like to invite our students, doctoral students and employees to learn also other European languages.
We are planning to expand the language offer for all study programmes. We will encourage people to learn the languages of our alliance partners: German, Spanish, Italian, Estonian, Lithuanian and Bulgarian, and obviously try to convince our partners that they should study Polish as well.
RECOGNITION OF DIPLOMAS, COURSES AND MODULES
In the future, we would like to see all partner universities automatically recognise all diplomas, courses and modules related to the implementation of particular curricula. Such an arrangement will definitely facilitate mobility and academic exchange.

Transform4Europe Week
One week – is it enough to get to know each other better? We will check it! For a couple of days in a year, during Transform4Europe Week, instead of classes and lectures, there will be meetings, conversations, workshops, shows and many other events, so that we can find out more about one another – both virtually and on-site.
Transform4Europe Mobile Entrepreneurs
Internship in Tallinn? And how about apprenticeship in Trieste?
We want to create a special database for students of all alliance universities, so that they could have an internship or apprenticeship in one of seven European countries.
Without any complex procedures. Easily.
Transform4Europe Chair Exchange
My favourite professor can be your favourite professor, too. It’s enough if the lecturers swap places for some time and have classes in different parts of Europe. We’ll take care of the rest.
Transform4Europe Professional Development Programme
Our administrative support staff is of great importance. Good practices in the field of building relationships in teams, effective communication and smart management are developed at every university. We will meet and share knowledge thanks to the modules of developing professional competencies.
JOINT VIRTUAL TRANSFORM4EUROPE MOBILITY OFFICE
We are trying to understand why still so few students, doctoral students and employees of our University use academic exchange programmes. TRANSFORM4EUROPE STUDENT CARD & TRANSFORM4EUROPE STAFF CARD
One document – open libraries, laboratories, classes. Thanks to it, we will be able to move around easily within the facilities of all seven universities, and gain access to many services offered by the partner universities.
STUDENT PROGRAMME | TRANSFORM4EUROPE AMBASSADORS
If you want to get to know the University, city or region, there’s no better idea than to get local people to help you. Our Transform4Europe Student Ambassadors will not let the foreign students get lost. They will show you their university, help you handle formalities and take you on a trip around the city.
ACCOMMODATION APP
We will create a special mobile app to help you find accommodation and book a place in the campus of every Transform4Europe partner university without any problems – to make travelling even easier.
SMART TRANSFORMATION STRATEGY
Each Transform4Europe alliance university has a strong position in their region. We want to further enhance this relationship. We will jointly seek to strengthen the role of the university in the development of the regions and impact of regions on the development of the university. For this purpose, we will create interregional cooperation networks, which will become a driving force behind the transformation of our environment.
We will also develop good practices in the strategic cooperation between the consortium and all regions that our universities are associated with.
EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCES
We believe that dialogue is the key to solving many problems and challenges. We want to create the conditions for dialogue between students, doctoral students, scientists, teachers, administrative support employees and regional stakeholders from all Transform4Europe alliance countries. We will organise guest lectures and various initiatives promoting innovative knowledge-based entrepreneurship and social engagement.
