“Art after Coal. Rethinking Upper Silesian Industrial Heritage Through Art, Design and Architecture ”is the title of the classes that Agata Stronciwilk, PhD, from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia, conducted at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski as part of the Chair Exchange initiatives of the Transform4Europe project. Lectures and workshops for students of the local Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences concerned the issues of contemporary art and design in the face of changes in post-industrial areas in Upper Silesia. The meetings were held from 23 to 29 May 2022.
An element of the project was an exhibition of works by students of the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences of the University of Silesia. The curator was Tomasz Kipka, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor of the University of Silesia. Socially and ecologically engaged posters could be seen at the Alma Mater Gallery of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski from 27 May to 9 June 2022.
