Call for T4EU Alliance working team meetings and study visits

The Transform4Europe Office at the University of Silesia announces a call for applications for working team meetings, study visits, and other forms of cooperation within the T4EU Alliance.

All possible forms are aimed at different groups according to the following breakdown:

  1. Support for the activities carried out in Transform4Europe by intensifying the exchange of students, doctoral students, and staff in the form of conferences, seminars, and training courses.
  2. Study visits by USil staff in the areas of education, science, projects, HR, and equality and diversity.
  3. Organisation of study visits of USil staff to Transform4Europe partners concerning the joint teaching offer (building teaching teams working on joint initiatives and teaching materials). The established teams meet at the alliance partner, and invite team members to the University of Silesia.

  • University of Alicante-UA, Spain;
  • University of Trieste-UNITS, Italy;
  • Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski-SU, Bulgaria;
  • Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas-VMU, Lithuania;
  • Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn-EKA, Estonia;
  • Jean Monnet University in Saint-Étienne-UJM, France;
  • Universidade Católica Portuguesa-UCP, Portugal;
  • University of Primorska-UP, Slovenia.

Stay objectives

  • expert discussions in a particular area of inter-institutional cooperation and the development of common solutions for the implementation of Transform4Europe tasks;
  • strengthening alliance cooperation, including inter-institutional cooperation in a specific area of university activity;
  • planning of activities and continuation of cooperation in a given area/task/work package;
  • establishing and strengthening teaching cooperation in order to build up the joint teaching offer.

Who can apply

  • administrative staff;
  • employees (researchers/lecturers);
  • doctoral students,
  • students.

Funding

Trips will be carried out in accordance with the rules in force at the University of Silesia for staff trips based on WP applications and in accordance with the University of Silesia Mobility Policy: Abroad trips | Employee

Participants on an approved trip will receive funding for actual costs incurred during the trip, which will be allocated on the basis of a duly completed WP application:

Travel: up to £3,000 to purchase air/rail/bus tickets in accordance with the USil ticketing instructions: Air ticket purchases | Employee

Accommodation and expenses:

  • stay allowance according to the applicable rate per country as indicated in the Regulation of the Minister of Family and Social Policy,
  • commuting allowance and local transport (if applicable) according to the applicable rate per country indicated in the Regulation of the Minister of Family and Social Policy,
  • accommodation at the applicable rate for the country in question, as indicated in the Regulation of the Minister of Family and Social Policy – settlement up to the amount of the invoice issued to the University of Silesia up to the applicable limit

Depending on the type of mobility, the trip can last up to 4 days: 2 event days + up to 2 mobility days.

Selection criteria

  • The advisability/usefulness of the organised meeting/visit for the implementation of the tasks of the Transform4Europe Alliance, in particular to improve the quality of education by providing employees and staff of the University of Silesia in Katowice with the opportunity to gain international experience.
  • Confirmation of the feasibility of the stay/visit at the partner university in the form of a visit/stay programme at the partner university and/or a letter of acceptance from the partner university stating the purpose and date of the visit/stay.

The Transform4Europe Office reserves the right to determine the suitability/purpose of the submitted trip for Transform4Europe alliance tasks. The number of places is limited.

Application process

To apply for participation in the project, it is necessary to download, sign and submit to the Transform4Europe Office the form below and provide confirmation of the possibility to carry out a stay/visit at a partner university:

Formal settlement and trip report

Upon completion of the trip, a completed settlement of the WP application must be submitted together with the attachments (invoices, tickets, boarding passes).

The Business trip report (docx, 289 KB) must be consistent with the declared theme of the trip, should include a detailed description and scope of the chosen form of mobility, and should emphasise the international cooperation skills acquired.

Schedule

The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the project begins on 10 February 2026 and continues until the available funds are exhausted.

Applications for a stay/visit at a partner university must be submitted at least 21 days before the planned departure.

The T4EU Office will respond by email about the possibility of a visit/stay within 14 days of the request/notification of the wish to carry out the trip.
