A seminar entitled ‘Global Academic Leadership’ was held on 3 April 2025 as part of the Academy for Professional Excellence initiative of the Transform4Europe project.
Dominik Antonowicz, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof., from the Department of Science and Higher Education Research of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, ran the seminar.
The meeting addressed key issues related to the global challenges of academic leadership, presented research findings and scholarly discussions on transnational processes and phenomena affecting the functioning of higher education, as well as policy and institutional responses to these challenges.
Each session provided an opportunity to exchange views, discuss the role and influence of university leaders on the direction of the university and reflect on the future of higher education in the context of global change.
